This is my first post to introduce the Geiger Counter Shield that I designed for use with the Arduino UNO. Currently, the PCB is at revision 2.0 and will be ready for production soon for those that would like to purchase a PCB and build your own Geiger Counter Shield.
I don't have pricing on the shield yet, but stay tuned as I update this site.
If you are interested in getting a PCB, please email so I can estimate a quantity from the production house.
Here as some of the features of the Geiger Shield:
- Plugs directly into the Arduino UNO Board
- Can be used with just about any Geiger Tube - has Adjustable High voltage from 200-700 Volts.
- Includes a place for a 100M Ohm Resistor for High Voltage Adjustment with 10M Ohm Input Impedance DVM.
- Includes placement for Jumper Selectable Geiger Tube Anode Resistors (1M, 4.7M and 10M Ohm). Also has a bypass position for Custom Anode Resistor.
- Buffer Circuitry to make Geiger Tube pulse output compatible with Arduino Interrupt input.
- Pulse Output Buffer for LED Indicator.
- Mini Piezo Speaker can be mounted on PCB or extended. Speaker is controlled by Arduino code.
- Sample Code Available for quick start, or program your own features, etc.
- Compatible with Generic LCD's for reading of CPS, CPM, uSv/Hr, etc.
